Pinks Fringed Dianthus Superbus is short-lived perennial native to Europe and Asia. Fringed Pinks seeds can be started indoors or directly outdoors in spring after last frost. Also called Superb Pinks, Dianthus Superbus forms neat mounds of linear blue, green or gray-green foliage with green tufts of narrow evergreen leaves and long but sturdy branched stems that emerge in a relaxed fashion before ascending. Superb Pink produces deliciously fragrant, feathery and fringed, five-petaled, green-eyed flowers that are colored in soft pinkish, lavender hues.

Fringed Pinks is an ageless addition to any garden, especially suited to timeworn habitats such as the rockery, walls or stone pathways. Dianthus Superbus seeds do not need any special treatment before sowing, and once established, Fringed Pinks are best grown in a cool spot with rich, well-drained soil, and this plant will provide a multitude of lacy, loose floral clusters to enjoy all summer long, tolerating drought.
