Cabbage Red Acre [ Brassica Oleracea ] is an open pollinated small, compact, short stemmed plants that are solid even in early stages. It bears hard, round, deep red-purple 7 inch heads that are 2-4 lbs. Heads are deep red, globe shaped, 6 to 7 inches in diameter. The Cabbage Red Acre is a colorful addition to a garden landscape, and it stores better than most early cabbage.  Start indoors 6 weeks before the last frost and transplant 3-4 weeks before the last frost. For a late harvest direct seed in mid spring. Space plants 10-20 inches apart.
