Cabbage Savoy Perfection [ Brassica Oleracea ] is an open pollinated cabbage that has solid round heads and a mild flavor. The cabbage is at its best after a frost. The dark blue-green finely curled leaes make good wrappers. Used fresh to make coles, or steamed, used in stir fry, or used to make sauerkraut. Plant for late summer or fall harvests. Start indoors 6 weeks before the last frost and transplant 3-4 weeks before the last frost. For a late harvest direct seed in mid spring. Space plants 10-20 inches apart.
