Lettuce Butterhead Bibb Slow Bolting [ Lactuca Sativa ] is a heirloom slow bolting lettuce with loosely folded heads and dark green leaves. This gourmet butterhead variety is known for its taste and texture. Rich in potassium and moderate amounts of Vitamin A. Small, loosely folded heads with tender leaves. The interiors are blanched to creamy white at maturity. Excellent in salads and garnishes.The small heads blanch to creamy white inside. Good for mucky soil, hot beds and greenhouse growing. Direct seed in spring or fall. Allow plenty of space between plants for larger heads. Prefers rich, moist soil. For the most tender and crisp flavor, lettuce should be grown quickly and harvested as soon as they are ready. Plantings may be made in succession about 3 weeks apart.
