Lily of the Nile African Lily [ Agapanthus Headbourne Hybrids ] is a perennial flower that has gorgeous blue or white florets arranged in large globes that make this a wonderful addition to the garden. A hardy perennial Lily of the Nile (African Blue Lily) is a rare and very precious source of blue color for the summer garden. It is very popular California flower and in other places where it is fully hardy. It's big, bloom-happy stalks shoot up 3 feet in the air, leaving the lush foliage far beneath, and open big 3- to 4-inch spheres in all shades of blue and lavender, plus white!
Lily of the Nile African Lily [ Agapanthus Headbourne Hybrids ] is superb in large containers, and make excellent year-round houseplants, their foliage as beautiful as their blooms! It's big, bloom-happy stalks shoot up 3 feet in the air, leaving the lush foliage far beneath, and open big 3- to 4-inch spheres in all shades of blue and lavender, plus white! Growing the Headbourne Hybrids from seed is easy to do. The plant will bloom after two or three years and then for many, many years afterwards!
