The small red flowers are tightly packed on 18 Inches spikes with a pendant habit. Green leaves turn bronze as the season progresses. It is used to give height to formal flower beds and only takes 8-10 weeks from sowing the seeds to flowering.
Love Lies Bleeding [ Amaranthus Caudatus ] can be used for borders, beds, or hanging baskets. Plants grown in the ground may require staking. The plant is an everlasting ( Amaranthus comes from the Greek word for unfading ) and its flowers retain some color when dried for arrangements.
