Rockress Purple [ Aubrieta Deltoidea ] is a perennial that has delightful spring show of brightly colored flowers.  The plant has has 3/4 inch, velvety-purple to violet-blue blossoms. The evergreen leaves form low mats of foliage which should be trimmed back after flowering to maintain a compact form. 

Rockress Purple [ Aubrieta Deltoidea ] can be planted in fall or spring in a light well-drained soil in a sunny or lightly shaded area. Rockress may be used in rock gardens or as an edging plant , and it is great between stepping stones, along pathways, or in the crevices of stone walls.

The plant attracts bees and butterflies.

The plant is drought tolerant.
