Tomatillo Pineapple [ Physalis Ixocarpa ] is an open pollinated unique tomatillo that is the only one that you will snack on in the garden. The fruits have a pleasant taste very similar to fresh pineapple. Eat them fresh and enjoy. Excellent for making a wonderful salsa.  Tomatillos are grown like tomatoes. The small, cherry sized green to yellow-gold fruits are surrouded by a papery husk that turns from green to brown as they ripen and splits open when they are ready to harvest.
