[ Lycopersicon Esculentum ]
Tomato Small Red Cherry [ Lycopersicon Esculentum ] is a heirloom variety that has been grown for more than 100 years. It has a smaller and sweeter fruit than the ‘Large Red Cherry’. The fruit is globular, weighs 1/2-3/4 oz. , and can be used for salads, pickles and preserves. To obtain early harvests the seeds should be sown thinly in February or March in a greenhouse or in a warm, well-lit place. When the plants have 2-3 true leaves, transplant to peat pots or other plant containers and grow at 65°F. As soon as all danger of frost is past plants can be set out in open ground spacing 3 inch each way.
