The plant is good for any English garden or rock garden, and its very fragrant and showy flowers are also especially nice in containers and as a ground cover for spring blooming bulbs.
Wallflower English [ Cheiranthus Cheiri ] [ Erysimum Cheiri ] does well in coastal and mountainous regions where it thrives in cool summers. In cold climates it may grow as a biennial, and should be planted in full sun. In moderate and warm climates it is a perennial. Frequent dead-heading may extend the 4-8 week bloom period even further. Usually blooms the second year after sowing, but starting seeds indoors will give you the best chance for flowering the first season.
