Yarrow Pearl [ Achillea Ptarmica Benary’s Pearl ] is unlike most other yarrows and features lance-shaped leaves which are neither deeply dissected nor fern-like in appearance. It looks pretty in the garden when combined with blue delphiniums. The plant is an excellent cut and dried flower and the dried flowers retain a nice white color.
Yarrow Pearl [ Achillea Ptarmica Benary’s Pearl ] has pure white 3/4 inch double pompon blooms above shiny green foliage. The plant tolerates a wide range of soil and climatic conditions like summer heat and humidity, and it grows vigorously in poor, dry soil locations where other plants fail. It is a good idea to separate clumps every four years to keep plants healthy. Pearl Yarrow, like the white and yellow species, is a good flower for drying.
The plant is an excellent cut flower.
The plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.
This plant is resistant to deer.
