Ageratum White Ageratum Mexicanum is an annual native to Central America. Commonly called Floss Flower this compact plant can be easily grown from seeds. White Ageratum features attractive foliage and blooms with clusters of small, fuzzy, white flowers that completely cover the foliage. Ageratum blooms prolifically from midsummer until first frost attracting butterflies, and each flower cluster consists of five to 15 tubular florets.
Ageratum is a popular choice for rock gardens, flower beds, containers and pots. Ageratum Mexicanum is grown in full sun or partial shade, and preferable soil conditions are moist but well drained. Floss Flower is excellent as a fresh cut flower.
