Aster Gremlin Double Yellow Callistephus Chinensis is a branching, half-hardy, annual plant. Also commonly called China Aster, this annual can be easily started from seeds, and it grows upright producing extra large, fully double, delicate, yellow flowers on strong, long stems. Aster Gremlin is also called Tiger Paw Aster for its curled petals that resemble tiger's paws. China Aster blooms for about six weeks from late summer until frost and attracts bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
China Aster Gremlin is valued for its showy flowers, and this annual aster is commonly grown in cutting gardens, flower beds, borders, containers and pots. Callistephus Chinensis tolerates drought and heat and grows best in full or partial sun thriving in rich, moist, but well-drained soil and requiring regular watering especially in dry periods. China Aster makes a superb, long-lasting cut flower that looks fantastic in any floral arrangement.
