Kenilworth Ivy Cymbalaria Muralis is a herbaceous, evergreen perennial, native to Europe and Asia. Kenilworth Ivy seeds need light to germinate, so the surface sowing applies to these flower seeds. Also commonly called Ivy-Leaved Toadflax, Climbing Sailor, Colisseum Ivy, and Devil's Ribbon, Cymbalaria Muralis is charming, compact growing, trailing and climbing, flowering perennial plant. Kenilworth Ivy forms a very dense carpet of succulent-looking, rounded, scalloped, medium-green leaves on purplish, trailing stems, and Ivy-Leaved Toadflax blooms all summer long with small, snapdragon-like, lilac flowers that contrast beautifully with evergreen foliage. Although a half hardy perennial, this plant is often grown as a half hardy annual.

Kenilworth Ivy makes a wonderful, extremely low to the ground, trailing ground cover, and this excellent climbing plant looks fabulous growing in walls cracks and cascading over rockeries in rock gardens. Other garden uses of Colisseum Ivy include container planting, hanging baskets, planting between flagstones, and on a top of that Kenilworth Ivy can be grown as a houseplant. Cymbalaria Muralis seeds germinate in 2-4 weeks under right planting conditions, and the seeds can be started indoors 10 weeks before last frost, or they can be sown directly outdoors in fall. The fast growing and spreading Ivy-Leaved Toadflax likes rich or average moist soil and shade or partial shade is preferable growing conditions, and Kenilworth Ivy re-seeds itself prolifically providing continuous presence in a garden.
