Yarrow Rose Cerise Queen [ Achillea Millefolium ] is a cosmopolitan weed originally native to Europe and western Asia. Today it grows in temperate regions worldwide. Yarrows, members of the aster family in the genus achillea, are some of the easiest cut flowers to grow. They bloom from seed the first year and are very vigorous growers. Plants tolerate heat, cold, low soil fertility, and drought.
Yarrow Rose Cerise Queen [ Achillea Millefolium ] has large, flat flower heads of bright magenta-pink flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer above fern-like, dark green leaves. This vigorous yarrow is perfect for a sunny border. Resist the urge to cut the plant back in autumn as the flower heads and stiff stems look lovely frosted in the winter garden. The plant tolerates a wide range of soil and climatic conditions. It is a good idea to separate clumps every four years to keep plants healthy. Rose Yarrow, like the white and yellow species, is a good flower for drying.
The plant is an excellent cut flower.
The plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.
This plant is resistant to deer.
