Daisy Mount Atlas Spring Carpet Anacyclus Depressus is a perennial plant native to Mediterranean Europe and parts of North Africa. Daisy Mount Atlas seeds must be covered very thinly and they germinate rapidly. Also known as Mt. Atlas Daisy, Carpet Daisy, Garden Gnome, and Spanish Chamomile, Anacyclus Depressus features very attractive, mat-forming, fern-like grey-green foliage and blooms with cheerful white daisy-like, yellow-eyed flowers with deep crimson stripes on the petal reverses. The flowers close at dusk and reopen in the morning. Garden Gnome adds contrast and detail to the perennial garden, and its charming flowers attract bees and butterflies.

Daisy Mount Atlas Spring Carpet is the low-growing, just 4-6 inches tall perennial that produces a colorful carpet of flowers, and it makes this plant a compact and dense groundcover for planting along the edges of walks and paths. Garden Gnome is a great companion plant for other early blooming perennials like blue-flowered groundcover Speedwells (Veronica), Wooly Creeping Thyme (Thymus), and Sea Thrift (Armeria.) Other garden uses include mass planting, rock gardens, containers, pots, and this very drought tolerant perennial plant is suitable for xeriscaping, gravel gardens, for walls, and within rock formation. Anacyclus Pyrethrum Depressus seeds can be started indoors and transplanted directly to a desirable location outdoors in spring. Once established, Daisy Mt. Atlas is an easy to grow, low maintenance, drought tolerant rock garden plant that prefers light to medium soils with good drainage and full sun environment. Garden Gnome re-seeds itself freely.
