Sedum Lizard Stonecrop Sedum Rubens is a succulent perennial plant native to Europe and West and North Asia. Sedum Lizard seeds can be sown indoors, in a greenhouse or directly outdoors in spring or fall, and this low-growing, drought-tolerant Sedum, also commonly called Red Stonecrop, forms a dense, compact mat of fleshy, rosy-green with reddish tips needle-like foliage. Throughout the summer the plant is covered with masses of tiny, star-shaped white flowers.
Sedum Lizard Stonecrop is a great addition to any garden as the bold dense texture provides good contrast, and as a very adaptable low groundcover, this Sedum is perfectly suitable for the rock gardens, green roofs, vertical walls, borders, containers, pots or planting between paving stones. Sedum Rubens seeds germinate rapidly, and once established Red Stonecrop thrives in full sun or partial shade tolerating drought and heat and requiring virtually no maintenance.
